Balancing Friends and Relationships

Sharing time with both your friends and your sweetheart is important to the survival of both relationships.

One of the trickiest things about a new relationship is trying to balance your flame and your friends. It's important to make sure all parties know how much they mean to you.

Take time for both your friends and your significant other. This is going to be harder than it sounds. When relationships are new, it can be hard for partners not to want to spend all their time with each other. This can be problematic because friends may feel the loss on the other end. Make time to go out with your friends--it helps you stay connected and you will also benefit by taking a break from your relationship.

Another good idea is trying to blend your relationship and friendships together. Having everybody spend time together may be a good way to develop bonds and socialize with everyone at once. If things go well, your friends and your significant other will get along seamlessly. This may not always be the case, but its good to try to balance things by bringing everyone important to you together.

In balancing your friendships and your relationship, time management is of the essence. You need to make sure no one feels snubbed, but it's also important for both friends and partner to realize that you have obligations to other people. As long as you're able to spend adequate time with those who are important to you and those people are sensitive to the efforts you are making, you should be successful in balancing your friendships and relationship.
