Finding Unique Gifts and Presents for Your Boyfriend
This article provides tips for finding your special someone perfect, yet creative, gifts and presents.
Finding your boyfriend, fiancé or husband the perfect gift or present can feel about as easy as scaling Mt. Everist. Finding a unique gift or present will show your significant other that you have put time and thought into it.
Learning More about Him
You may want to begin by finding out what he's really interested in and keepeing it in mind. There are several ways you can find out his interests. You may want to ask him a few questions. If you want to ask him directly, you may want to start planning his gift in advance, so he doesn't figure out what you're going to buy him. If you want to be somewhat more discrete, try talking to some of his friends or his family.
Getting the Gift
After finding out what he likes, start shopping around. Remember it is the personal touch that you add to the gift that makes it special, not the price tag. Perhaps you can have something engraved. If your significant other is always worried about being on time, you may want to buy him a watch and have it personalized. If you want to make a gift even more personal, have his nickname or a special message, like his favorite quotation, engraved in something. Keep in mind the size of your item when you're engraving it because you want the message to be readable. The more text you have the smaller the letters must be.
You can also make a theme gift basket. A theme gift basket usually centers on one's passions or hobbies. For instance, if he likes The Godfather movies, you may get him a gift certificate to his favorite Italian restaurant or make him some cannolis. You may also want to get him a book on The Godfather or one of the movies, if he doesn't have all of them yet. A mob joke book might be a nice touch. It doesn't matter what size the gift basket is as long as it's filled with things he'll enjoy. You may not even want to put it in basket but rather in packaging that suits your overall theme.
Some online stores like Uncommon Goods, which can be found at www.uncommongoods.com, and Red Envelope, which can be found at www.redenvelope.com, offer nontraditional gifts or traditional gifts with a twist. Remember a unique gift doesn't have to be anything extraordinary or expensive, just something thoughtful to show you care.
